Biking Trails & Roadways

Start your cycling adventure on the Greater Reading Trail System (GRTS). The trails cover over 125 miles in 5 major preserves. They link to each other and are accessible from the Schuylkill River Trail. Because of their proximity to the City of Reading and local Main Streets, the cyclists can easily stop for amenities like bike shops, craft breweries, hotels, music venues, and restaurants.

In 2015, the trail system was designated as a Bronze Level Ride Center by the International Mountain Biking Association (IMBA). Only 50 locations around the world hold this elite ranking, making GRTS the only IMBA Ride Center in the northeastern corner of the USA. Despite the international status, the trails offer hours of great rides to seasoned and novice cyclists.
