Biking Trails & Roadways
Whether you’re a weekend warrior or training for the Tour de France, you’ll find an exceptional place to cycle in Pennsylvania’s Americana Region. A diverse landscape of winding country roads, picturesque valleys and rolling mountains provide the perfect venue for a variety of biking experiences for seasoned and novice riders alike. Plus, our convenient location allows adventure travelers from across the MidAtlantic to access Berks County’s roads and trails in no time flat.
Our affinity for cycling runs deep. In the late 1800s, biking races were held in Reading’s City Park, drawing participants from across the USA. Today, Reading and Berks County continue to beckon biking enthusiasts. The Reading Radsport Festival hosts road cyclists and their fans for an annual summer racing event, while the Greater Reading Trails System (GRTS) is a favorite of mountain bikers. In 2015, GRTS earned Bronze Level Mountain Biking Ride Center status from the International Mountain Biking Association, a prestigious designation held by only 40 places worldwide, and nowhere else in the MidAtlantic.
Whatever your cycling preference, or your riding expertise, give the trails and roads of Pennsylvania’s Americana Region a try.
