Short Ride, Epic Fun!

Is outdoors the place you want to be?  Then Pennsylvania's Americana Region is the perfect place for your adventures. Take to the trails and roadways of Berks County for bicycling fun. Our world-class mountain biking trails are fastidiously maintained as they continue to grow in miles and you in experience. For road trips, enjoy scenic excursions, uphill challenges, and fast-paced rides on the region's blacktops, gravel trails and along winding country roads. Hike our trails to the witches hat or the top of Hawk Mountain. Whether you take to the serene paths of Blue Marsh or trek to the heights of the Pinnacle, you're sure to find a pace that suits you. As for fun in the water, it might be too cold for a swim, but it's the perfect temperature for fly fishing and kayaking fun. The experiences you crave are closer than you think in Pennsylvania's Americana Region.

Speaking of rides, don't forget to venture onto one of our local trains.  Breath in the fresh air as you ride or cycle the rails.

Does Music Make You Perk Up...Curious?

We love Spring in Reading and Berks County. It is music to our ears - literally. It starts off with the biggest names and brightest up-and-comers in jazz, blues, gospel, and pop come together for the Berks Jazz Fest. A ten-day celebration of the music that’s deep in our American roots, featuring both ticketed and free concerts. If you’re a music lover, it’s a can’t-miss.

Wait There's More. Outdoor Festivals and Music.

But don’t get it all out of your system at once! Be sure to plan ahead for our other great festivals throughout the year, like the Kutztown Folk Festival, Art on the Avenue, and World War II Weekend. They all have music and they all offer different soundtracks of experiences. Check out our brew pubs and restaurants for music too! Visit our calendar of events to see it all and plan a season of excitement.
