Celebrate the season with these upcoming Weekend Events!

Does the holiday season put you in a tizzy? Do you spend so much time decorating, shopping, and cooking that Christmas slips by before you can enjoy it? PA’s Americana Region wants you to put away your ladders, gift lists, and aprons. Take time to celebrate! Treat yourself to the many events that make PA’s Americana Region so much fun this time of year. Worried about not finishing your holiday chores? Choose just one of this weekend’s Top 5 Things to Do. November 30th

Elf Jr. The Musical has a cast of 32 children who bring to life Buddy, a young orphan, who mistakenly crawls into Santa's bag of gifts and is transported to the North Pole. The would-be elf is raised, unaware that he is actually a human, until his enormous size and poor toy-making abilities cause him to face the truth. Come see the show from beginning to end, it's a delight for young and old alike.

Come see one of the best shows to ever hit the Santander Arena.  For King and Country's Little Drummer Boy, The Christmas Tour is one of those memorable Holiday Concerts that you just cannot miss.  With their mix of drums and strings and lights its a show that you will not soon forget!

December 2

Santa on the Allentown and Auburn TrainSanta Claus Train Rides

Who doesn't love a train ride and better yet Santa will be on that train.! Have pictures done with the feel of Christmas magic in our picnic grove before going back to the Kutztown Train Station to do some holiday shopping in the Allentown & Auburn Gift Shop.  The Gift Shop features handmade and antique items and more!  Ride (including stop at the grove) is approximately 1.5 hours start to finish.  SEATING IS LIMITED!

December 7

Miracle on 34th StreetPoster for Miracle on 34th Street

Steel River Playhouse

Bring your whole family to enjoy the Miracle on 34th Street. The wonderful, uplifting story is a great way to celebrate the beauty of the yuletide season. Steel River's fabulous orchestra and costumes continue to impress audiences.

December 7 and 8th

Take time to celebrate in PA's Americana Region3rd Annual Christkindlmarket
4 pm - 9 pm
Daniel Boone Homestead

The Homestead is beautiful by night with simple Christmas decorations. As you walk the grounds, chat with the potter or sample some mead.  Visit the General Store for Daniel Boone gifts and see the wares of over 30 crafters selling handmade items in the craft tent. Stop at the Boone House and see how the PA Dutch celebrated Christmas in the 1800s Pennsylvania German.

December 9

Take time to celebrate in PA's Americana RegionBirdsboro's Hometown Christmas

Birdsboro

The town of Birdsboro knows how to celebrate Christmas with that Hometown Feel! Come meet Santa and enjoy entertainment, food and a bonfire. The festivities end with the tree lighting. FREE

December 9

34th Annual Christmas House Tour & Champagne BrunchTime Brunch to Celebrate in PA's Americana Region
Brunch: 10:30 am - 1 pm, Tour: 11 am - 5 pm
Centre Park Historic District

The annual house tour is a favorite of locals and visitors alike. Start the day with brunch at the Inn at Centre Park followed by a tour of several Centre Park homes decorated for the holidays. The historic neighborhood is an architectural delight and features the beautiful craftsmanship of the Victorian and early 20th Century. Advance ticket sales end 12/8 at 6 pm, Tour only-$18, Brunch only-$35, Combo-$48. Day-of-event ticket sales: tour only- $20.
