The Reading Royals, the ECHL affiliate of the Philadelphia Flyers, has kept Pennsylvania’s Americana Region cheering for sixteen action-packed seasons. This year, the Royals hold the 4th place standing in the North Division with a 30-20-1 record that merits a playoff position. Kelly Cup here we come!

It’s not just the excitement of Royals’ hockey games that keep fans coming back for more, it’s theReading Royals Ice Hockey player skating on ice entire Royals experience. This season, the Royals added a giant inflatable lion head to the starting line-up. Players emerge from the lion’s head and take to the ice just in time for the puck drop. New the
me nights with great giveaways are always being introduced like Oktoberfest with team beer steins to honor our rich German heritage. Not to be forgotten are the tried and true events like Pucks N’ Paws Night to celebrate man’s best friend, Penn State’s THON Night complete with a mini-THON and PSU jerseys, and a pink rink with matching jerseys for Pink the Rink to benefit local charities in Berks County. Flyers Fridays have been another great addition to this season’s roster. Not only do fans meet the likes of  Bill Clement, Orest Kindrachuck, and Doug Crossman, they receive a free, customized canvas to bring to the games to collect signatures.
