Memorial Day Family Camp, May 26 – 29, at South Mountain YMCA - There's camping, and then there's camping at South Mountain YMCA. This is one of SMYMCA's most popular weekends because it’s packed with fun activities like horseback riding lessons, canoeing, trap shooting, mountain boarding and more.

Kid’s Bike Rodeo May 27, Berks County Heritage Center - Start the summer season with cycle safety with help from Berks Area Mountain Biking Association. Members of BAMBA will lead kids through stations on bike-fit and a safety check, helmet fitting, basic bike maintenance and a bike-safe obstacle course. Prizes awarded and refreshments provided.

Things to do with car lovers:
Showdown at Sundown, May 27, Maple Grove Raceway - Experience high octane racing under the lights. Exhilarating alcohol dragsters, funny cars, and jet dragsters as they fly down the track and light up the night. Gates open at 3:00 pm.

Ringgold Band Concert, May 28, Berks County Heritage Center, Celebrate the holiday with a patriotic concert by one of America’s first community bands. Formed in 1852, Ringgold Band performs familiar classics, challenging new works, as well as symphonic overtures, show tunes, solos and a myriad of marches.

Memorial Day Parade, May 29, Birdsboro - What's more patriotic than a holiday parade? Birdsboro pays tribute to those who gave their lives for our freedom. Festivities include a special ceremony to honor Veterans.

Memorial Day Ceremony, May 29, Jim Dietrich Park - The ceremony recognizes military members who gave their lives our freedom. Students of the Muhlenberg High School will provide music for the program. Light refreshments will be served following the program.
