An old factory may not sound like a great place to see art - but in the Americana Region, that old factory is now the Goggleworks Center for the Arts, a magnificent restored and enhanced facility hosting artist's studios, where you can actually visit with the artists while watching their fascinating craft. It's a great place to spend an afternoon, viewing all of the world-class jewelry, fabrics, works of art, hand crafted glass and pottery, and other completely unique creations. There's so much, it will be hard to decide what to take home. You'll also discover artists like glass blower Taylor Backus, in our historic towns. Plus, the creative craft of Pennsylvania's Americana Region is not limited to the visual arts. You'll discover many regularly scheduled theater performances and literary buffs will find it intriguing that our region was home to novelist John Updike.
