The magical Christmas village at Koziar’s began in 1948 when Mr. Koziar began decorating his home and property for the pleasure of his wife and children. The neighbors applauded and began calling it the “Christmas House.” Every year, Mr. Koziar added new and unique items and lighted displays until he was decorating the lake, the walkways, trees, and fences, as well as all of the buildings. By popular demand, visitors were granted access for a closer look and soon Christmas House began to be known as Koziar’s Christmas Village. Now, between early November and New Year’s Day, you can enjoy the fantastic display of lights between 5:30 and 9:30 PM each evening. They’re open Thanksgiving, Christmas Eve, Christmas, New Year’s Eve and New Year’s Day, if you want to take a quick holiday trip to our region to enjoy.
