Reading Radsport Festival August 3 - West Reading August 4 - Reading City Park
Reading Radsport Festival returns to the Berks County for the 3rd year in a row. On Saturday, catch the excitement of the criterion in West Reading. Sunday is all about the ardous mountain climb up Duryea Drive in Reading. Come for one or both days of the race. You'll find yourself adding it to your August's Must Dos for 2020.
BAMBA & Vermont Adaptive Off-road Adaptive Demo Day August 10 & 11 Mt. Penn Preserve Trails
Berks Area Mountain Biking Association teamed up with Vermont Adaptive and to bring a day of outreach and off-road handcycle awarness to veterans and adaptive-athlete. The event became so popular, a second day was added. Because Vermont Adaptive has a limited amount of disability-specific mountain handcycles, anyone interested in riding is encouraged to sign-up for a bike and ride time on-line. Head to the beautiful Mt. Penn Preserve Trails to support or volunteer to help at this event.
Off to a Flying Start! Migration Kick-off Saturday, August 10 Hawk Mountain Sanctuary
Hawk Mountain Sanctuary is celebrating the return of the fall raptor migration with this kick-off event. Activities include guided bird walks, naturalists in the garden, live bird programs, Raptor ID, kids activities, and more! If you can't make the kick-off, no worries, the sanctuary offers lots of activites through-out the hawk migration season, August 15 - December 15.

54th Annual Duryea Day August 31 Boyertown Community Park
Boyertown Community Park plays host to the annual Duryea Day, a well-established event that attracts hundreds of cars, trucks and motorcycles from all decades. Music, great food and children’s entertainment make this a family-friendly and affordable event. Shuttle service to visit the Boyertown Museum of Historic Vehicles is included in price.
16th Annual Taste of Hamburg-er Festival August 31 Hamburg
How do you like your hamburgers? Ketchup, mustard and onions? How about served on a glazed doughnut. Taste of Hamburg-er Fest has so many varieties of hamburgers you won't know which to try first. If you're up to it, enter the burger eating competion. It's a day of great food, music, vendors, and community camaraderie you don't want to miss.
