Visit Pennsylvania’s Americana Region, Reading & Berks County

Our new commercial, Visit Pennsylvania’s Americana Region, Reading & Berks County, is the work of Sebastian Nieves, a 28-year old Berks County native. The film is a passion project Sebastian created to give back to the place that shaped him growing up – Reading and Berks County, Pennsylvania.

It all began with a street video of the City of Reading shot in the 60s. Watching the bustling downtown made Sebastian think about some of the negativity now surrounding his home. It inspired him to show the world all Pennsylvania’s Americana Region has to offer.

We should mention that Sebastian is a talented photographer who travels the world, capturing beautiful images. Committed to making a film, Sebastian pitched the idea to friends in the film industry, and our visitors bureau. The rest, as they say, is history. Pennsylvania’s Americana Region is gratified to share this incredible footage with you, and to tell you a bit more about the people who helped make Sebastian’s vision a reality.

Once Sebastian pitched his idea, LampHouse Films, Pennsylvania’s Americana Region and Marabella Enterprises were quick to get on board. Funded in part by the Berks County Commissioners and Visions Federal Credit Union the project was underway.
