The Schuylkill River Trail is multi-use trail for biking and hiking along the Schuylkill River. To-date, there are more than 60 miles of trail to enjoy. This includes a stretch of 30-plus miles from Philadelphia to Parkerford where the trail breaks off. No worries, you can pick it up again in Pottstown where it continues on right into the heart of Reading. From there, cyclists can follow a 20-mile signed on-road route to Hamburg. In Hamburg, trail users can access a scenic seven-mile stretch to Auburn in Schuylkill County.
With several locations throughout Berks County to pick up the trail, you won’t be at a loss for a beautiful scenic excursion whether on bike or foot. The trail is a great way to enjoy the outdoors, exercise or commute.
