you can't beat Pennsylvania's Americana Region for outdoor recreation. Adventure travelers love our 200+ miles of biking* and hiking trails that provide experiences for all skill levels. As for road trips, enjoy slow scenic excursions, uphill challenges, and fast-paced rides on the blacktops of Berks County. If your idea of summer fun means getting your toes wet, local waterways won't disappoint. You'll find places to boat (kayak, canoe, motor), paddleboard, swim, and fish. Rounding out our outdoor resources are golf and disc golf courses, a water slide, and a rock climbing quarry. For the ultimate outdoor getaway, spend the night at one of our campgrounds, and relax under the stars after a day full of adventure. 

*​Greater Reading Trail System (GRTS) earned International Mountain Biking Association’s Bronze Level Ride Center designation, making the GRTS one of only 40 Ride Centers worldwide.

There's nothing better than a cold beer on a hot summer, especially when the beers are brewed right here in Berks County. Instead of going to the same old watering hole, get to know our local breweries by following our BrewHaHa Trail passport.  After a day in the sun, discover the delicious brews created right here in your own backyard.
