Mother’s Day 2019… How do you plan to honor the women in your life this Mother’s Day weekend? Restaurants across Berks County are hosting Mother’s Day events, but, if you are looking to do something different for the women you love, one or more of the following suggestions might fill the bill.
Take your theatre-loving mom to see a show this weekend. Steel River Playhouse in Pottstown newest presentation, Constellations, is just the ticket. The show centers around a chance encounter between a man and woman at a party. Where will the meeting take the two? I guess you have to be part of the audience to find out. If your schedule won’t allow you to attend a performance this Mother’s Day weekend, consider buying tickets to a another show at Steel River Playhouse, Genesius Theatre or other local theatres. Of course, you could always go to the movies too.
The 32nd Annual Spring Craft Fair could be just the ticket to a memorable outing with the crafty ladies in your life this Mother’s Day 2019. Besides, Leesport Farmers Market is known for putting on some amazing seasonal craft fairs. In addition to shopping the wares of over 300 local and regional craftsmen, you can sample the assorted foods and baked goods offered by the various vendors. It sounds like an inspired way to spend your day.
When’s the last time you cut the rug with Mom? Here’s your chance! Celebrate Mom at the Reading Liederkranz’s annual Maifest. Dance the night away to the music of Alex Meixner as you observe the arrival of spring with German traditions, customs, food, song and dance.. Most importantly, it’s a family friendly, outdoor event.

Why not share the gift of music with your mom by attending Little River Band’s Saturday, May 11th performance at the Santander Performing Arts Center? It’s sure to be memorable event for both of you!
This Mother’s Day 2019, take a ride – a 40-minute round trip ride aboard the Wanamaker, Kempton & Southern Railroad in northern Berks County. As the
vintage train chugs along, you and your fellow passengers are treated to fantastic views of rolling farmlands, tree covered hills, even the two old-time towns of
Trexler and Wanamakers. So, why not slow down and share a relaxing ride on the WK&S sometime soon?
