Walk in the Park
Okay, it might be a little chilly for a picnic, but Mother Nature does like to give Pennsylvania a few days of warm weather here and there during the cold season. If you're not up for a bougie picnic, you can still bundle up and take a nice walk or run. There are lots of parks that you can bring your dog to year-round. This is a great way to get some exercise for both you and your pup! Be sure to check the park's website to ensure the conditions are safe and your dog is welcome. Some of our favorites are Blue Marsh Lake, French Creek State Park, and Jim Dietrich Park. You can also take your dog to the Reading Public Museum to walk around the property outside!
Staycation
Surely, you love your dog enough to take them to a hotel just to get out of the house, right? Lucky for you, we have several hotels in the area that are pet-friendly and are ready to treat your pup like the king or queen they deserve to be recognized as. The DoubleTree by Hilton Hotel Reading has an entire floor that is pet-friendly!

When does your dog ever get to walk around a bunch of motorcycles? Even if you don't drive a motorcycle, Classic Harley-Davidson of Reading is incredibly dog-friendly and welcoming to all folks, non-riders included. The staff always has treats and water on hand and gives the best belly rubs and kisses! They hold events throughout the year that are definitely worth checking out.
