Founders Day: August 2nd
Join the Berks History Center for a FREE Founder's Day Open House celebrating its founding in 1869. Explore museum exhibits and the Henry Janssen Library, meet local history experts, and enjoy hands-on activities like crafts, scavenger hunts, and live demos. It’s a fun, educational day for all ages that brings Berks County’s past to life.

Cars & Cones: August 7th
Cruise in, hang out, and eat ice cream! The Boyertown Museum of Historic Vehicles invites you their 4th Annual Cars & Cones Cruise-in from 4 - 6:30 PM. This low-key cruise-in will be held in the Museum parking lot, adjacent to the Museum entrance. No registration required! This event is FREE for both vehicles cruising in, as well as spectators. The Museum will be OPEN with extended hours; regular contribution rates apply. Mister Softee will be on hand offering ice cream and other refreshing novelties for purchase. They want to see your classics!

Smokey's Birthday Celebration: August 9th
Celebrate Smokey Bear's 80th Birthday with Smokey and friends! Visit with conservation and forestry vendors to play games, get Smokey Bear swag, learn about efforts to preserve our forests and open spaces. JR's Brisket Food Truck will be on site!

Mom's Night Out: August 14th
Experience movement and mindfulness with Boost to Boards, a collaboration between Fit4Mom and Aqua Om. Start with an energizing Body Boost workout that blends cardio, strength, and core training, then unwind with a guided floating meditation in a peaceful cove. Paddleboarding beginners are welcome—instruction is provided for a smooth and restorative session.

French Fry Fest: August 16th
Now in its 7th year, the West Reading French Fry Fest continues to grow and evolve. This year, the event becomes even more welcoming with the Avenue closed to traffic, creating a walkable, pedestrian-friendly experience. Visitors can explore a variety of creative French fry offerings along with a curated selection of local artisans and businesses. It’s a great way to enjoy good food and support the community in the heart of West Reading.

Duryea Hillclimb: August 16-17th
Rev your engines! The 2025 Duryea Hillclimb roars back to Reading, PA, as drivers tackle a challenging 2.25‑mile climb with 13 curves and an 800‑foot elevation change. A key stop in the PHA championship series, this SCCA‑sanctioned event celebrates speed, skill, and scenic Americana—plus, spectator donations help preserve Reading’s beloved hilltop landmarks. Competition is approximately 9 am - 4 pm both days

RiverFest: August 22-24th
Get ready for RiverFest 2025—a vibrant, free, three‑day food and music festival set against the scenic Schuylkill River at Jim Dietrich Park. With live stages showcasing local bands, over 30 food vendors, and artisan crafters, it’s the go‑to event marking summer’s unofficial finale in Muhlenberg Township.

59th Annual Duryea Day: August 30th
The 59th Annual Duryea Day Antique & Classic Car & Truck Show and Flea Market will be held Saturday, August 30 from 9am to 3pm at Boyertown Community Park. Hundreds of vehicles will be on display throughout the park, and shuttle service is available between the Park and Museum through the duration of the event. Pre-registration and day of show registration for show vehicles available—all makes, models, and years are welcome. Spectator admission is $10 for adults, free for ages 12 & under. Spectator admission includes both the Park and Museum.

Taste of Hamburg-er: August 30th
Get ready for a fun-filled day in downtown Hamburg celebrating America’s favorite food—the hamburger! The Taste of Hamburg-er Festival features over 35 burger stands, live music, beer and wine gardens, arts and crafts, kids’ activities, and burger eating contests. A delicious day the whole family will love!

Wild Goose Chase 5K Run/Walk: August 30th
