The IX Arts Celebration returns to Pennsylvania's Americana Region for a second time this week. IX is the first symposium dedicated to the art of the fantastic or imaginative realism. Meet artists, students, collectors, and art fans from around the world as they meet for this annual gathering to inspire and create further awareness and zeal for this incredible art form. Spend your evening watching one of the most provocative, up-and-coming dance companies. Jessica Lang Dance performance features Thousand Yard Stare, a work which premiered in 2016. Based on the name given to a traumatized soldier’s unfocused gaze, it is described by the Chicago Sun-Times as, “a remarkable evocation, minimal yet profound, of soldiers in formation at war. Moving and masterful.”
