You can enjoy astounding views of the Lehigh Valley and surrounding ridges from Pulpit Rock and The Pinnacle, two vistas considered to be the premier overlooks and viewpoints along the entire Pennsylvania section of the Appalachian Trail, located in Pennsylvania’s Americana Region near Hamburg. The trail to enjoy both is an 8.7 mile circuit which gains 1300 feet in elevation as your climb to the top. The most challenging part of the trail is the first two miles up a rocky slope to reach Pulpit Rock and the first vista. Another mile of rocky terrain takes you to The Pinnacle, with views that over look the entire region and are well worth the climb.
