Looking for something different? South Mountain YMCA’s Guided Night Hike is just the ticket. Not only do you get to hike the beautiful trails of the South Mountain by the light of the moon, the evening ends with a wine and cheese reception. If you can’t make this Guided Night Hike, hikes will also be held on Friday, September 1, Friday, September 15, and Friday, October 6.

If you’ve never been to Jim Dietrich Park, this is the perfect reason to visit. Muhlenberg’s Premier Food and Music Festival takes place there this weekend. Enjoy two stages of music, a beer and wine garden, food vendors of all kinds, as well as goods by local artisans.

Pinnacle Ridge Winery’s Twilight Concert presents Trouble City, a group that has been turning heads and tuning in ears from all over the region with its own brand of original roots/rocksteady/reggae. Trouble City has put out three albums and has played with the likes of Stephen Marley, The Wailers, Badfish, Matt and Kim, Flux Capacito, the Dirty Heads, Dr. Dog, the 7 walkers, Railroad earth and more!

Astronomy at Nolde Forest

If you’ve always been curious about the night sky, join the Berks County Astronomy Club for a brief indoor program. Then, take it outside for an outdoor viewing of the night sky. Register for the program by calling 610-796-3699 or noldeforestsp@pa.gov. Bring a flashlight!
