Oley

Historic Oley Valley is just a short ride from Reading. At its center sits the village of Oley and the smallest main street in Berks County, a pleasant mix of homes and businesses. Settled in 1712, the National Register of Historic Places deemed all of Oley Township a historic district. Oley’s rolling farmlands and historic PA German architecture make it a popular destination for Sunday drives. If time allows, plan to visit Oley in the fall. The landscape is breathtaking, and the Oley Valley Community Fair is held the third week of September. You can eat funnel cake, watch a tractor pull, and check out the blue-ribbon pies and livestock - definitely worth a visit!
